  1. Cells are so small so the surface area and volume of them can be proportional to each other.

  3. they are small because there are many of them and if they where big they wouldn't fit in a body or a plant

  4. Cells are small so the surface area and volume of them can be proportional to each other. This helps with the efficiency of the cell's absorption and waste process.

  5. they are small because they make our body

  6. BECAUSE THEY ARE MICRO SCOPICC THEY CANT BE BIG BECASE THEY WOULD BE HUGE

  7. The cells are small so the surface area and volume of them can both be proportional. If they were any larger they would there would not be enough material to be able to cross the membrane fast enough to accommodate the increased cellular volume.

  8. cells have to be small because so it can pass through materials easily and if they get big materials can't pass through as quickly.

  9. The reason why cells are so small because they really cant get to big they will divide in to two different cells the first cell gets really big

  10. Cells are small because they need to be so they can fit in the area they need to be. And be able to cross the membrane fast.

  11. cells are small so that can fit a support the ares.

  12. if the cell grows beyond a certain limit, not enough material will be able to cross the membrane fast enough to accommodate the increased cellular volume.

  13. Cell are small because they need to be able to diffuse through materials easily.
